The History of "The British School Istanbul"

The British School Istanbul has been in existence for thirty-five years, but the current proprietor took over in 2000. Under the umbrella of "The British School Istanbul", the BSI currently operates three distinct schools that cater to the needs of modern, globally-oriented families. One of the three is The STEAM Campus in Etiler for Pre-School and Primary School. The campus follows a British style of education similar to that of a Cambridge school and adheres to the standards set by both the Cambridge curriculum and England's National Curriculum.

The Zekeriyakoy Campus was built ten years ago in response to the growth in student numbers. In September 2017 the school expanded to include a new national school for children between the ages of 2 and 7 whose parents seek a Turkish education with an international flavor. It is anticipated that the new national school will grow year after year until it educates students up to Year 13.
